The Core Team Process:
Creating Effective Work Teams

No dates are currently scheduled

Many individuals require an interdisciplinary team to support them in order to successfully live, work or attend school in the community. The core team process builds a collaborative relationship that supports not only the client, but all of the team members as well.

Creating interdisciplinary teams that can support clients with multiple issues, varying strengths, and/or physical or mental illness is essential in provideing quality care to those individuals. These collaborative teams are often created for adults and children with:

  • Developmental disabilities,
  • Mental illness,
  • Autism and Asperger's syndomre,
  • Physical disabilities, and
  • The elderly requiring physical, mental health, or end of life care.

Many teams (as well as the people they support) leave meetings frustrated, without clear expectations for the future and with little direction or motivation for change.

In this dynamic, interactive workshop you will develop the skills necessary to facilitate or participate in an effective team meeting. Using the meeting guidelines and structured agenda, your team will combine energies, deal with emotions, forge agreements, and implement the necessary changes for improving the clients' quality of life..

Case managers, program and site managers, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, education professionals, family members, and direct care staff can all improve client outcomes by using the Core Team Process.
